Yea I reckon they are fairly even in performance cos the rs4 does lack grunt especially for a 400 bhp car a tuned R or S3 WOULD BE ALL OVER A RS4 IN ALL OCCASIONS I was gonna look at s3 but took the R as I managed to get it straight away.

I also think they are seriously over priced.
But you do pay for exclusivity and I personally like the fact it doesn't stand out.
Saying that it does get alot of attention.

I agree they're over priced. My S3 was 40k new. Paying 33k for mine I think is ok and IMO it punches above its weight and some of the tech is bloody good on it. The next RS 3 is going to be seriously good and after a years depreciation will probably be a good buy.

A tuned S3/R will walk away from both B7 and B8 RS 4s I reckon (in a straight line that is). Only one way to find out . . .

Agree the New rs3 will be some machine as will the New focus rs which I will deffo be getting as I have all the others.

Just checked on the website where I ordered mine from, & it has gone up £100 / month over 2 years.

Guess there was limited supply. Good news if you have already ordered.
