Post by Rs3 » Wed Aug 27, 2025 8:58 am

Hi
I’m on the lookout for a low mileage SUPERCHARGED RS4 AVANT B7.
Must be a well cared for car with sensible mileage and owners
All the usual spec that’s a must in these cars
Black or spring blue preferred
I have a budget of circa £25k

You might want to add £10k-£15k to your budget. £25k is the going rate for low-mid mileage example cars that aren't supercharged.
Suggest you have a look at the market across Autotrader, eBay, etc.

Few examples for you. None of these are supercharged, all are low-mid miles and all are over your budget.

For even more context, here is a supercharged car that was sold on the forum last year for £31,550 and it had 126,000 miles on it: viewtopic.php?f=63&t=144959

Right I take your point.
Have to up the budget a bit.
I’ve never been in a supercharged car but can I have anyone’s experience
Are they reliable as a standard car which I had some years back never ever let me down

Depends who has supercharged it, what supercharger it's had fitted and what the maintenance has been like.
It needs more regular servicing, better cooling, larger brakes etc. if this work hasn't been done already. Should be reliable, but ultimately you're pushing boundaries with a supercharged car. Even MRC on their website state: "STAGE 3 is at your own risk. We will map the car to be as safe and powerful as it can be but increasing the power and torque so far beyond the factory specification means it will need appropriately reduced service intervals and maintenance."

You're also looking for a needle in a haystack if you want a low mileage supercharged avant. It's hard enough to find a supercharged avant, but a low mile one, almost impossible. And will likely demand £40k, so wouldn't be upping your budget a bit, you'd be £15k on top of your budget which is a massive difference.

Mmmmm
Got me thinking of just getting a nice ( non supercharged) now if it’s going to be
1…potential issues & 2…hard to find

There’s was a supercharged Saloon up for sale a few weeks back on this area of the forum albeit it not a avant Seems like it’s had a great owner and well looked after if you haven’t contacted them yet. As mentioned by Beckford there’s lots of things to consider and not the easiest to come by.
