So the time has come to sell my C6. Bought this in Jan 12 from Bramleys, with 23k. Loved it ever since. Always and only been to QST - feel free to phone them, they’re happy to vouch for the car.

FSH. Im the 3rd owner. Presently stored in its carcoon. Pampered. Vvvvvgc. MTM 749bhp / 938 nm t (stage2).

Price is negotiable … but im not fussed re selling … only selling as dont use it much at all and seems silly having it doing nothing (always in dry storage).

I actually thought it was fairly cheap given the mileage but maybe I am out of touch with regards to what these are worth? A B7 RS4 for instance on 48k miles with some work done is going to be selling for £25k all day long so a clean RS6 of the same generation with almost twice the power? Dunno - maybe the C6 RS6 is less desirable but I certainly think given the mileage, work done and maintenance history it is priced very fairly. The arse has fallen out of the second hand car market (personally I think in particular the RS market) since 2022 ish. It has been a buyer's market ever since so depends if you want to hold out for the right money or not, ultimately.

Also, it has only been 48 hours since your post. Quite niche cars, people don't look every day. Maybe see how the situation is in a couple weeks.

I would hold out for a sale on here. Punting anything tasty on A/T opens you up to the world of chancers, bluffers, buffoons and time wasting sh5tbags. Have you had ‘what’s your best price’ Yet?
I HATE selling cars on Autotrader. And R/S cars also attract certain types who will offer you a mind blowing lowball offer and expect you to say ‘yes’.
GLWS looks mega tidy.
Edited to add- very low miles are a huge bonus. 48k miles on a 17 year old car is amazing. Also to double down on selling on here- people can follow the cars progress and history on here and use that as a yardstick. The tuning and servicing is also important. People should ask themselves: ‘Would I buy a modified/tuned unknown car from a dealer?’ Tuned cars -particularly tuned German cars- tend to get thrashed and mistreated. Dealers will bluff you to get the sale and then it’s your problem. At least getting a known forum car means you can research properly and make an informed choice and not end up with a ‘wedding/IG/rental’ special that’s been thrashed half to death by morons.

Beckford21 - thanks and fwiw, totally agree. I do think whoever comes to see mine will be impressed at the condition…it really is vvvvgc. And if i share how much ive gone into looking after it, the sale is gonna also get embarrassing lol.

Stevo55 - again thanks, and agree. Ive always tried to keep realistic re price and honestly believe that if someone wants a genuine cared for C6 (over cared for), then this is it. A few months ago a mate started looking at C6s and thought he’d be able to buy one like mine for £22-25k; he couldnt find one anywhere near the condition for that money so is telling me that its priced right…even in todays market.

Im possibly gona use it for feb (daily unavail…but salt on the roads puts me off and is why it gets stored soooooooo….i dunno….maybe the impreza will get taxed instead lol).
