Story

I am a long time S/RS Owner and Forum Member based close to Maidenhead.

I started my S/RS journey with a S2 purchased in 2003. I sold it on S2Forum to another Forum Member in 2007.

I moved to a B7 RS4 at this point, which I sold in 2010 having purchased a B5 S4 in MRC440 spec from a friend. I went on to get this converted by MRC to MRC550 spec in 2010. I sold that car on this forum for my C6 having lurked for many months looking for the right car.

As many will know, this car is all about the engine. And the running costs! I wanted a “good” car from the outset that wasn’t going to cost me a huge sum from the purchase date. As a result, ideally I wanted a car previously owned by a Forum Member and that had had the oil seal and coolant line work done. The actual spec was less important to me than the pedigree of the car.

And so I’m pleased to report that over the last 3.5 years, my C6 has been brilliant. Apart from one unexpected repair to one of the radiator fans that spat its dummy out unexpectedly one day, it has been unfailingly reliable.

The car was Stage 2’ed in 05/17 by MRC and the downpipes were replaced, also by MRC, in an engine-out job in 12/19. At this point in time, it seemed daft not to replace any other seals and gaskets that needed replacing, so this was done.

Living only 45 miles from MRC, they have also undertaken all the servicing work and MOT’s whilst the car has been in my ownership.

Unfortunately, courtesy of my impeding move, my commute will go from 200 miles/month to 2500 miles/month so, reluctantly, the car is up for sale.

The car will continue to be used lightly whilst up for sale so the mileage will increase gradually.

No test-drives although I’m happy to demonstrate the performance of the car to any prospective buyer. You can watch my 0-201mph video posted on the C6 Sub-Forum to get an idea - taken at a Straightliners Event. This is a sub-4 sec 0-60 car. It also runs sub-10 sec 0-124 and sub-6 sec 60-120.

No silly offers. Further images available on request. You may find cheaper C6 RS6’s with a better spec, but you wont have the same peace of mind about those prospective purchases as you will with my C6, knowing that the engine has only just been out of the car and looked over by MRC, and that the last 3 owners have looked after the car diligently. Some quick use of the Search function will demonstrate that.

Yes I had this car for just under a year it never skipped a beat and cost me nothing but a litre of oil and a few tanks of fuel in my ownership.

I actually bought it the same night/hour the add went live I recall, flew to London a day later didn't even test drive it, drove back to Scotland and had a play against a McLaren, ah the memories.

Shocked to see this car for sale tbh, JP was very particular about the car he wanted when he first contacted me, in his ownership he has only upgraded it to a better car.

very tempted to buy it back as it was a great car when I had it, it's like an old flame you can't get over, I miss it most days.

I can vouch that this car is an absolute cracking example and between Alex myself and JP it's been very well looked after.

Another vote of confidence in both the owner and car.

The car is an absolute monster, still the only car to truly scare me with its power and how it lays it all down, and yet it’s totally refined pottering about.

The owner is also 100% genuine and a proper car enthusiast who has seen the car want for nothing during ownership.

For those looking for for one of these, you really won’t find a better example out there for the money. If I didn’t already have a car, this would be mine already.
