Hi Dean,
Are you a member on the TT forum? You will need access to view the for sale posts. This car has been on for a week or so, don't know the car or owner
Might be worth a look?

Re: Wanted - Mk1 TT Quattro Sport
Yes I still find it confusing, to me I can never tell or notice a difference.
The forum is very good and has a wealth of knowledge. Some of the members on there have had their cars from new. As with any forum, stuff does get regurgitated and as the TT has decreased in value it does attract the younger member. Not that there is anything wrong with that but there can be some quite amusing posts!
The ttoc does organise the events and they are worth a look. I think if you contribute £5 you can gain access to the for sale section immediately. Otherwise you have to be a member for a certain period with a certain amount of posts.
The for sale section can be good though, that's where I got mine from.
If you need any pointers and I can help don't hesitate to get in touch. You have my mobile number and you are welcome to have a look at mine, as we said before.
Good luck with the search as over the past year there hasn't been alot that has come to market. Some of the cars have been hanging around for months so either they are too much money or just rough!

Re: Wanted - Mk1 TT Quattro Sport
They are not an easy car to sell, so whilst they are rare, there is limited demand due to their age and focussed nature

Re: Wanted - Mk1 TT Quattro Sport
The car above looks good condition and history wise. Just awaiting some answers on a few common issues, options etc.
The bit that worries me is 7 owners, it started life in scotland and the MOT history tells a story unsympathetic ownership - putting it into MOTs with broken springs, worn tyres, headlights that don't work etc.

Re: Wanted - Mk1 TT Quattro Sport
I wouldn't get too hung up on owners, mine has 6 previous. It did put me off but once I spoke to the owner and viewed it the deal was done.
One thing that seems to make owners sell is the Recaros. If the car is bought as a second car doing short journeys they aren't easy to live with. The guy I got my car from bought it from a guy who bought it for his wife. She hated the seats and struggled to get in and out of them.
As with any car, history backed up with invoices is important.
