I really don't get why so many for sale threads on here get un-necessary / unhelpful and opinionated comments regarding price. The price shouldn't be subject to comments, this is a for sale thread after all.

Best of luck with the sale, I think your price is justified and will appeal to a collector, try find another with only 18k miles.

Ref the Daytona car which recently sold for £30k at the the specialist BMW garage, I had the opportunity to but it for £24.5 before the dealer got his mitts on it. I travelled 250 miles to view it. It was immaculate but it's service history was poor (last 2 services had been done by some back street MOT station), Aux rads were leaking, OSR shock was misted, the clutch felt very strange (in comparison to the 3 other B7's that I've owned) and the gearbox was incredibly notchy between 1st and second gear.... it still sold for £30k.

We are all here to help each other if he wants to sell it people provide feedback on price to help him sell it. I think for cars like this with such low miles your best bet is top marquees or something there are car sourcers out there and maybe a collector is looking for such car but on a forum where people DRIVE the cars daily, hard, weekends, spirited and don't have garage queens it's only asking for trouble when you put this up with a 33k price tag. On the plus the comments bump the thread to the top you do have a great car

I think a better title for this thread would be:

"I paid too much for my car 4 months ago, got hit with some big bills so am trying to recover all of that cost from an idiot who looks at enthusiasts forums and is despertare for a low miler instead of sticking it on autotrader for 33k where i know no one will call me"

Hows that?

I haven't been hit with any bills and I think that what I have paid for the car will only be determined when the car sells.

This is meant to be an advert hence where I posted I don't want opinions I want enquiries. The likelihood of getting an enquiry now is zero where everyone has said trade value is this insinuating I'm lying about my offer and you won't get anywhere near your price and basically slated the value.

I must remember to come back here more often great experience. My view is different to the majority is say something nice or don't say anything.

Hilarious sign off good luck with sale. I guess in your langauage that means F off.

Lucky to be surrounded by so many experts on the forum who know the market so well. Thought that most would want cars that they own achieving good values.

Sorry that you're feeling like this - personally I appreciate your point and you have a fantastic car to sell.

Having said that - this isn't just a hoard of people shooting from the hip, aside from a few quips, this seems to be people quoting transactions and allying that to market behaviour.

I haven't read anyone here insinuating you're lying - in response to your trade offer, only people telling you to take it because they don't seem to think its high compared to what they have seen.

I've just done a quick autotrader and pistonheads search for avants:
£26k yellow one with 52k on the clock, http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/ ... 07/6869758
£26.5 black with 32k on the clock for http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/ ... 07/6926487

There is a dealer one on Pistonheads that sold through Millenium Heroes that had 28k on the clock for £30k say they're looking for similar. I'm guessing they may be able to sell for £32k or £33k but I'm guessing they wouldn't offer you that.
http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/ ... ed/5080561

I'm genuinely not trying to rain on your parade - just showing you what I've found in 5 minutes. And what I see is what any prospective buyer can easily see; and unless someone has no grip on reality they will be doing more research than that if they're serious about buying.

On the flip side - its also a free advert so you lose nothing by not getting a sale from here. And like someone has said - people on here are less interested in mileage because it means so much less where enthusiasts take care of the car and spend money on it. SO they can save money by buying something older with more miles but still cared for, or slightly individual.

I hope you don't see this is "just another negative post". I just wanted you to not feel dejected about trying to sell.

At least you haven't had what I saw recently on anther post: "Lovely car mate, would be pukka if it had ceramics". Now that is a useless POS post!

I'd suggest adding those details/receipts into a new advert. As prospective buyers will certainly want that kind of information, perhaps get it on Autotrader and Pistonheads as well.

BTW - was this the BCA Blackbushe vehicle that was sold on Jan 4th, the same day you posted on here about collecting yours?

It's such a shame you've found the RS4 a little to small for your requirements.

It looks to be in fanatic condition and I'm sure you will get the right person happy to pay a premium for a car like that, just as you did when you purchased it.

As others have said, it's worth what someone is prepared to pay.

Cars like this are obviously getting harder to come across as they get older, getting one thats never been damaged or had paintwork done is almost impossable, also sure as time goes on the prices will only increase on such cars.

Stick to you guns, it's a loverly example.

Ref the Daytona avant

This was my car and my pride and joy for five years. Aled did come to view it and used a torch that i provide for him to look closely at it.

Can't comment on a misting shock, just took his word for it as I had never looked. Leaking rads is a complete exaggeration, there was a very small pink stain on each rad, the car had never used any water in my five years of ownership.

I take offence when someone fews a vehicle and raves about how beautiful and tight it is to drive, with fantastic clutch and gearbox, then next breth trys to suggest it my have a problem ( maybe that's because he lost out to buy it)

Also had full Audi history, yes the last two completed by a petrol head that I have used for 25+ years, hardly a back Street garage, i personally would trust him more than a 19 year apprentice at Audi steelers.

After all, with the milage it covered the services  were only oil and filters.

Best of luck with your sale
