SOLD - B7 RS4 Saloon, Sprint Blue, Black Optics 49K

Post by Champers » Fri Jul 18, 2014 1:23 pm

After much deliberation, I have decided now is the time to part with my B7 RS4 Saloon.

Since day 1 I have enjoyed every minute of this car and it has been maintained to the highest of standards, visually and mechanically, regardless of cost.

Having owned an array of high performance vehicles, I realised finding an RS4 in the spec I desired would be a tall task. After viewing several, with no joy, I could not believe my luck when this example came up for sale from an Audi Dealer, locally.

Overall, the car is in excellent condition and was the best out of every other example I viewed, some even with lower miles.

The body work is in exceptionally good condition with minor, minor stone chips to the front bumper/bonnet and even less on the rear. No dings or scratches in sight. The cars paint was corrected earlier in the year to remove minor swirl marks and is maintained by myself accordingly, using the best detailing products available.

The interior is also in exceptionally good condition. This was one of set backs I was having whilst sourcing an RS4. I am pleased to report there is virtually no marks to the drivers bolster and the passengers is in superb condition. Also, no marks to the rear of the front seats. Rear seats are like new. Since purchasing the car, the drivers seat has donned a made to measure seat cover, which helps protect against any rubbing from belt buckles etc, whilst entering the car. It will also be included in the sale.

Since owning the car I have covered 8,500 miles, with no flaws. Generally, the car has seen very little use and the fact I work Offshore means it is used less than 6 months out of the year, it is also only driven by myself.

Mechanically, the car is sound and any faults have been addressed, as you will read shortly. Still a noticeably strong pull after reaching 5500RPM onwards.

The car has a high spec and features the Full Black Optic package, consisting of Black exhaust tips, window trims and front grille, the rear boot trim is also colour coded. It features the much sought after Solar Sunroof, which does a fantastic job of keeping the cabin cool, when we seldomly see hot days in the North East of Scotland.

After a few months of ownership, I noticed the wheels looked quite dull and found the very corners of the spokes to be fading, leaving a yellowing laquer showing. I debated having them refurbished but eventually found a company who were able to powdercoat them and match to the OEM paint code. I’m glad I went for the latter, more costly option as the overall finish looks fantastic and is more durable.

Please note: The wheels were unmarked prior to power coating, so there was no blasting involved, which can leave the surface ‘pitted’.

During the time the wheels were away, I took it upon myself to remove the fabric wheel arch liners, clean them and inspect the arches. Although in very good condition and with factory sealant still in place, I decided to fully de-contaminate and seal with Bilt Hamber Dynax UC and UB, both are anti-corrosion waxes. The exposed seams were coated with UB, a waxoyl like substance, which is brushed on. All other areas were sprayed with UC, via an aerosol, which leaves a thin wax like residue.

Front discs replaced at 44,000 miles

DRC replaced under warranty and also Coil Packs.

Lower suspension arms replaced less than 200 miles ago. 28/05/14

2 new front tyres - Continental Sport Contact 3. Less than 200 miles ago 28/05/14

Additional spec is as follows

Welcome FON

Personally I am not a fan of this colour.
Misano every time.
But as has been previously stated the black optics pack really enhances this colour.
Good luck with the sale.

Note your in Buckie.
A few of us are planning a mini meet, Aberdeen beachfront Monday 21st around 7.30pm, come along, we can report back as to the good and bad!!
Maybe help with the sale :bigblink:

I know this is a cheat.

But I am just testing the water, potentially thinking of selling up.

The car has now done around 52K! I drive it once a month if im lucky. It does get pampered however.

Hate to say it but looking to get back into something Jap.

Have had a few PMs now. So just to clarify I am looking for £22995.
This car is mint and is coming up for a service which will be done before I sell at Audi main dealer.

This is still for sale.

I got cold feet and decided to keep.

But it seems a waste sitting in the garage. I would rather someone else enjoys her.
