Facelift S4 B5 saloon with Hybrids

Post by dr_wimpkins » Tue Jul 21, 2015 6:48 pm

My B5 S4 is up for sale.

Car was 1st registered in December 2000 (X reg),with 61000 miles on it, and I have owned the car for the past 10 years. It now has 117000 miles on.
It's been used it as a daily driver, and it's never been tracked by me.
Car is facelift model, in metallic ming blue, hybrids/fmic,etc were fitted at around 90k IIRC.

I used to be quite active on the forum, but have been living in Germany the past 5 years, the car being in storage all of the time. I have been here, except 2 trips back to UK.
Car was dyno'd on an Audisrs rolling road day a few years ago , and put out 483.5 BHP. Since then, I put the main CATs back in, so it might run a bit less. But I will include the cat bypass pipes. Mods are quite extensive. The exhaust alone has cost me over 3.5K, due to getting it done twice (first was only a single pipe by the now defunct "Stealth systems", now replaced completely by RS fabrications)
Rough spec is as follows. I have only just arrived back to the UK, so will dig out exact details in due course. (might be more mods)

Custom map (MRC)
RS4/RS6 Hybrid turbos (MRC)
044 fuel pump (MRC)
700cc injectors (MRC)
APR bipipe (MRC)
RS4 up pipes (MRC)
Front mount intercooler (MRC)
RS4 clutch (MRC)
Rear roll bar braces (MRC)
Turbo back Stainless twin pipe exhaust, with optional cat bypass pipes (RS fabrications)
RS6 8 pot front calipers and discs
H&R Front and rear antiroll bars
AWE vent mount boost gauge
Adjustable short shift gear linkage
RS4 front bonnet vent
N75 delete
HID main beam conversion
Private plate - Included
F-hose delete - Common failure point on S4's
Debadged. I still have them, if you want to re-attach.

Good parts.
As you'd expect from a 480hp car, it's fast. Plenty of pull, at almost any speed.
No mechanical problems.
Cambelt done twice during my ownership, last time only 3000 miles ago, along with water pump, etc. (Garth Road MOT)
Very good interior condition, the only noticable wear, is by clutch pedal rest, and a small hole in speaker grille.
New MOT.

Bad parts.
I bought the car with limited service history. Previous owner told me it had been reposessed, and history was lost. However, apart from a few niggles like MAF, it has run perfectly. I heard it's possible to request the old service history, but I never bothered.
There is a crease in the nearside rear door. (see pics)
Some minor paintchips and 'tesco' dings.
Some small bubbling on nearside wing, and rear door insert. (see pics)
DIS could do with a repair.
Small crack on windscreen, lower passenger side.
Both wings, and upper part of passenger door have lacquer peeling away.
Wheels could do with refurb.

Looking for £5600 with the paintwork sorted out, or £4600, if you want to do it yourself

I'm based near Petersfield Hampshire. All the usual guff applies, no test pilots, tyre kickers, dreamers.
With a small amount of TLC to the bodywork, you can have a top notch, very fast S4.

PM me for my number if you have any questions.
