SOLD - RS4 Avant Daytona Grey
Hi all,
Reluctantly due to lack of use my RS4 is up for sale
Shes on pistonheads here:-
http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/ ... ts/2829876
Price for forum members is £18,750
Here’s some more info:-
First registration date was Sept 2006, so on a 56 plate.
Service history is all long life and by Audi with the exception of the last 2 : -
• 08/08 - 17,688 miles - oil service and fuel pressure sender recall
• 01/10 - 32,188 miles - oil service
• 11/12 - 52,740 miles - oil service, fog light grill
• 04/13 - 55,643 miles - oil service and plugs
• 02/14 - 64,636 miles - oil service
• 08/14 - 70,892 miles - oil service (carried out myself as I like to change oil every 6 months, irrespective of service schedule)
Other maintenance work carried out:-
• 03/11 - 40,110 miles - coil pack recall
• 01/12 - 47,092 miles - new aux rad, discs and pads, fog light grill, brake fluid change
• 03/13 - 54,758 miles - oil cooler and braided hoses
• 05/13 - 57,000 miles - KW adjustable spring kit
• 02/14 - 65,088 miles - Conti Sport Contact M3 x 3
• 03/14 - 66,147 miles - front top control arms x 4
• 04/14 - 66,764 miles - clutch switch, plugs, all coil packs and wiring loom to coil pack connectors replaced
• 07/14 –70,436 miles - brake pads front and rear replaced
• 07/14 - 70,537 miles - vacum lines, combi valve and inlet manifold decoke
I replaced 3 of the tyres 6k miles ago, and the remaining tyre was replaced approx. 8k ago as a result of a slow puncture, so all still fresh. All tyres are Conti Sport Contact and all matching.
Discs look extremely new with no lipping at all, front or back, so I'm pretty sure they've been replaced again since Audi last did them at 47k miles – I replaced the pads again anyway a few months ago when I carried out a brake clean (the old pads looked new when I took them out)
Two months ago I had an Audi Specialist in Glasgow replace all the main vacuum lines and a faulty combi valve to rectify an error code with the secondary air injection system – and they carried out an inlet manifold decoke while they had the manifold off. Flap activation rod bushes were inspected too and were Ok. The power valve in the air filter housing was tested also and found to be Ok activating as it should at approx 5.5k revs - you can feel it kick in when pressing on.
Also, in April this year I noticed that one of the wiring loom to coil pack connectors had a broken clip so I replaced all 8 connectors and while I was in there I changed all coil packs and the sparks plugs too.
Being an engineer I have a high level of mechanical sympathy and I’m meticulous with my cars and also my record keeping and have all the paperwork in order - as you can see over the recent months I’ve carried out a lot of preventative maintenance to keep the car up to scratch, even though it was over and above what is strictly necessary. She is also stored in heated garage when not being used.
Cheers
Steve

New? It looks as though the front disc lip has been ground off from the picture provided?
If the discs had been replaced by Audi then it will be documented.

Re: RS4 Avant Daytona Grey
All
Thanks for the kind words on the condition of my car
In response to surrey Sam - you've misread my post, I didn't say that Audi replaced the discs again, just that by the look of them they must have been replaced since they last did it. Also I can assure you no grinding on my discs !! The flash of the camera has reflected on the very clean disc backing plate by the looks of it. Thanks for the analysis.

Re: RS4 Avant Daytona Grey
From the way the shadow is cast upon the background, I disregarded the flash bounce aspect as it wouldn't light up the bottom edge like that. Perhaps you can upload a better quality photo to this thread to show potential buyers the true condition of the discs then?sharpM wrote:All

If I'm thinking that is the case, then there could be more people just like that who will be put off by it.
