RS4 B7 Avant - Getting ready to sell - priced right?

Post by floydstar » Sat May 18, 2013 8:59 pm

Hi folks

Looking for some constructive advice please. I'm about to list my 2006 Phantom Black RS4 B7 AVANT. Before I do go the usual pistonheads, autotrader etc route I'd appreciate thoughts on draft listing and price as these seem to vary significantly when I look at similar cars on the market.

I have put details on a page on my personal website in preparation to adding the link from online Ads when I do advertise. It's just come back from Bath Audi service and is booked in next week for detailing. I'll advertise it online once detailing is done.

http://www.danielridge.com/rs4/

Cheers, Dan.

Looks like a cracking advert, Dan.

I've been following RS4 prices over the past couple of months, and as mentioned above, there's quite a bit of variation. I think you've probably priced it about right, though. I'd imagine your advert will draw in some buyers who will be less interested in some of the more bland adverts and untested dealers selling similar cars!

I think this ad is pretty cheap. Should fly out of the blocks :)

I reckon it's priced to sell quickly, however you can't better some good honest clear pics, that show the real condition of the paint

Price looks about right as long as great condition and ad is certainly eye catching (although larger images didn't seem compatible with my ipad
It's not dissimilar to my car in terms of colour, spec and mileage and your list price is significantly higher than Audi are giving me for mine in px against a new B8 RS4

Personally, I'd avoid autotrader unless you want a bunch of company calls, timewasters or test pilots. PH is a better bet, but you might want to keep it up here for a bit and see if you can some enthusiast interest first

Trust me, selling an RS4 in the open market is a flippin pain in the arse, hence why I've taken the hit and just PX'd

Good luck with sale

Nice car. If it's as clean as the pics suggest I'd expect a pretty quick sale at that price. GLWS

Anyone know why a PM message might be stuck in the Outbox?
