Did you find a B5 RS4 or did you go for another beast?

Hi mate,

Just to let you know I'm the new proud owner of your lovely S3 :)

I saw it a few days ago and was super disappointed when I realised it had already sold. Must be my lucky day because I found it on Pistonheads this morning, advert was only 4 hours old. Just my luck I had some cash lying around to pay the builders so I called the feller up and said I'm coming down mate. Got in the car did the 3hr journey from London with the misses in tow. Saw the car and was blown away in all honesty. Interior is like new and it drives really nice.

Super chuffed with it and very happy I got such a good example. I'm surprised how many looks I got on the way home, I didn't think it would stand out much but it definitely seems to catch peoples attention more so than my current cars.

Excellent news! Are you the guy who called me yesterday about the car?

Be sure to start a thread on your new toy ;)

Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Yes mate, thanks for your help. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't up to get scammed seeing it for sale so soon.

Chap seemed genuine enough, cited work dropping off as the reason. But maybe he just didn't like it in the end? Either way I was happy enough with the car so I didn't let that worry me too much.

Only change was he fitted a short shift kit, not that I've driven an 8L before but the shift seems a bit laboured and notchy so I might get that pulled off pretty quick.

There's nothing wrong with the box as standard. Silky smooth too!

Congrats on your new buy!
