C5 RS6 Plus for Sale

Post by shanus33 » Tue May 22, 2012 11:58 pm

I love this car and spent months looking for a Plus. If you’re a regular to the forum you will recognise this as PhilT’s old car. The car has a well documented history and was maintained by Unit 20. Since I’ve had it not much has been done to it apart from MRC Healthcheck, change of oil, change oil cooler line. I’ve got some hefty building work needed to be done. So she needs to go to help finance it.

Standard Spec

Between April and September 2004, there was a final limited run of an even higher-performance RS6, named the Audi RS6 Plus. This had an increased engine power output (identification code: BRV), and produced over 353 kilowatts (480 PS; 473 bhp) at 6,000-6,400 rpm, with the same 560 newton metres (413 ft•lbf) of torque at 1,950-6,000 rpm. This engine was also developed and manufactured in the UK by Cosworth Technology (now known as MAHLE Powertrain). The additional performance was achieved with a new engine control unit (ECU), and two additional coolant radiators behind the side-mounted intercoolers (these were standard fitment on the standard RS6 in hotter climate countries). Official performance figures indicate the discipline of sprinting from standstill to 100 kilometres per hour (62.1 mph) in 4.6 seconds. The RS6 Plus carries on to reach 200 km/h (124.3 mph) in 17.36 seconds, and has an official top speed of 280 km/h (174.0 mph).
The RS6 Plus came with Dynamic Ride Control (DRC) as standard, and also included a no-cost option of "Sports Suspension Plus", which lowered the standard sports suspension by a further 10 millimetres (0.39 in) over the standard RS6. A revised steering rack, with a reduced ratio of 14.3 for firmer steering feel was included, and resulted in a turning circle of 11.7 metres (38.4 ft.). The brakes now included cross-drilled discs. The wheels were only available in the 9Jx19" '5-arm design' alloys, finished in "anthracite" (dark grey), with 255/35 ZR19 96Y XL

Modifications:
• Suspension – KW Variant 3
• Suspension – Hotchkis ARBs front and rear
• Brakes – VW Phaeton Cooling Ducts.
• ECU – Revo Custom Switchable Remap.
• Gearbox – Viper Remap (Higher gears at lower speeds)
• RS6 Saloon GPS antenna.
• Full Milltek Exhaust with black tips
• Private plate included in sale

Current Mileage 87106. Gearbox service carried out twice 22/06/09 (67030 miles) and 23/06/11(81,080 miles) Cambelt and water pump 23/09/10 (77,097 miles).

There are plenty of other RS6s for sale, particularly on pistonheads. But this is a Plus and unique one at that. I'm taking initial enquires by PM please.

I've read about this car in a few older posts, it really does look stunning.

sorry to hear you're selling, but good luck with the sale.
I used to own a 6, now I'm just a lurker!

Hey Everyone,

Thanks for the nice comments Swanny and Golffather. Been so snowed under with work and family I don't get to drive her that much. Got an 7 year old Passat as the family hack. Does 40+ mpg and that's the only plus about it :D

Just an update. Car will come with 12 months road tax up to 1st August 2013 and a years MOT up to 30th July 2013. The price is reduced by a grand. Asking £15995

Cheers Shane

Go to the profile info on the right-hand side of the Shanus post and click on the "PM" button. This will take you to the internal email system, write your message and click submit. Don't worry when it says you've got a message in your outbox, it'll say that until the recipient opens the message or you change your mind and delete it.

Good luck.

Hey All,

Yes the car is still for sale. I have to confess, I took her out for a blast on Monday and thinking whether I should sell or not. It's a simple case of head says 'yes' and heart says 'NOOOOO'..... :bash:

The only annoying thing are the alloys. Both the left side front and rears have been curbed and it's a bit of an eye-sore. Other than that, it is mechanically sound.
Can anyone recommend a good wheel refurbisher in the Bucks area? And what paint code is for the Plus alloys, please?

Bigrod I've sent a PM

Cheers

Shane

The plus alloys are Titan, with satin finish. Paint code is 8AU.
