For sale RS6 Avant 2004

I bought this car as an ex-demonstrator in January 2005 and have had such fun driving it that I have managed to put 171,000 miles on it.

Full service history, tax till March and MOT to November. Mugella blue with silver seats.

MRC tuned and maintained. Coil overs, stage 1 and gearbox re-mapped. Service, cambelt and oil pipes just replaced. New tyres (continentals). No faults and drives like a dream. Seriously tempted to keep it for another 100,000 miles but might sell if anyone interested.

Fair play to you mate that must be one of the highest out there! It must be blessed so would suggest be a excellent purchase! Give us your secret ? Is it the same main parts such as IC's gearbox etc etc? GLWS that said you must love it by now and be sad to see it go!

Hi - same gearbox, no problems. MRC flushed it through a few times when they took over servicing and it has been perfect since. Same intercoolers. I also probably average 23 mpg over the last 5 years so it has not been thrashed although the gearrbox remap helped.

Would sell for £10k probably not for less. I'll keep it as a winter car as I have stuck Michelin Alpines on for the winter plus chains when needed. Better than a landrover!

That's just over 20,000 a year which is about average ...... I bet there are others that are heading towards or are at that mileage already. I don't see a problem if as the op has stated there is fsh and maintained by a specialist Are you lot trying to drive prices down? I would rather have a higher mileage sorted example used every day than a lower mileage one that needs everything done!

At today's fuel prices, that would be (drum roll please)... over 47 000 british pounds spent on fuel.

With the car costing 10K GBP, I am slightly reminded of the pricing scheme for laser printers and mobile phones - the hardware is mostly free and the consumables cost. BP should be giving away free RS6s.

Thats a superb MPG!!! so in reality or compared to other cars that a considerable saving over that mileage and time frame! I think 10k for this car with that mileage would at first glance seem a little optimistic... however its a proved realiable and economic machine and as Amanda says all the work done to it.... Might prove to be a bargain in the mid term if you think about it. We'd need to see the whites of its eyes I think however to offer an honest appraisal. 20,000 miles a year is now the national average?? I thought it was 12k.....
