As mentioned in another forum I have been contemplating buying a B5 RS4. The first step is to sell/PX my car in the process, so here goes.

I bought the car in November 2010 after months of research on the known faults and pitfalls of this car. This all meant nothing when pretty much the day after I suffered major engine failure in the shape of a chain tensioner fault.
(There is a full write up on another forum so if you have any questions relating to this then please do ask).

Bad luck isn't the word and no, there was NO sign of a problem during both road tests!

You can see from the thread that GREAT care was taken to source a good engine with low miles and that it was fitted by experts.

The car is a late 2003 B6 S4 Manual avant with just over 100,000 miles, this list of extras fitted when new -

-[RSY] Symphony radio

It also has Tracker fitted and this is currently paid for by a monthly subscription and is easily transferred

It really is a very well specced car and everyone is surprised to see heated REAR seats, especialy when there are kids in the car.
The auto dimming rear view mirror is great and I'll miss it greatly as I will the heated front seats..... and just about everything else but it's time for a change.

All 8 coil packs replaced under warranty at Wayside Audi in Milton Keynes.

Both rear shock absorbers replaced
Front end repainted to remove stone chips and bumper scratch - NOT accident damage.

New Bosch battery

After some quality issues (I'm very fussy) I had the front end painted again
All 4 wheels refurbished
Rear bumper painted to remove loading marks

S4 over mats from mycarmats .

This is where we are with it now and the only issues I know of are a noisy drivers side window regulator and the usual glovebox hinge issue.

The M.O.T test certificate expires on 05/07/2012.
The road fund license expires on 31/03/12.

The asking price is £8000. This is taking into account the fact that all the normal S4 issues have been taken care of and the general condition of the car.
