WANTED - B7 RS4

Post by norman1979 » Sat Nov 19, 2011 9:35 pm

I am looking for a B7 RS4 saloon or cabrio. I have the cash waiting but I am ideally only looking to spend 18k. Only preference is full service history and of course HPI Clear. I do have a 03 BMW 330ci sport that im using at the moment as a PX if it helps but the cash is there to buy it outright.
PM if you have one for sale.
Thanks :bigwave:

£18k is not going to get you a good one

I sold a yellow one last month that needed brakes and tyres and had loads of paint for more than £18k

Beware of the cat-c's they normally fall into that price range. Or any car from Bradford. (ok last bit was a joke) ;)
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar

I have seen quite a few up for around 18-19k. Im pretty confident with abit of haggling I can haggle hard for 1k if its up for 19k.
What do you guys think? Am I being abit to optimistic? I have shown some examples below of HPI Clear cars and what is available.

as i said good luck, think you,ll prob be spending some time/money on any car in that price range but hey what do i know :beerchug:

prob would'nt bother with no3 as if the dealer could not be bothered to top oil before he took photos would concern me slightly, also no1 looks like the bonnet never got lifted much either, bit oily and low coolent

your not listening (reading ... )

yes, you CAN get an RS 4 for that price.

the point we were making is that its unlikely to be a good one ... you might get lucky, and get a good one ... but I'd say there is more than 50% chance you wont.

by that i mean

a) high miles
b) bad condition paint, panels, interior
c) requires tyres/brakes/servicing
d) from Braford

I would just say, buy very carefully at this price

its not impossible, but there are of course bargains out there
