Looking for an RS4, don't do the mileage at the moment, so dont need the 3.0 tdi, its a great car - would suit an RS4 owner that needs 40mpg :-)
Based near chester.
Thanks
Alex

Audi A4 3.0 tdi Avant S-Line Tiptronic auto, would prefer to P/X against B5 RS4.

I have had this car since February, at the time we needed something that could eat the miles in comfort, but now, we no longer do long distances so would prefer to get an RS4 as I’ve had to resist the urge for too long now!
I travelled a fair way to find this car, its high mileage at 128500 BUT this has always been motorway miles so you can expect the engine + transmission to be in better condition than a car with half the mileage that has just done short journeys. (When cruising in 6th gear, box is physically engaged so no wear on auto box and maximum efficiency.)
I am third owner, 1st and 2nd owners did a lot of motorway miles and we have used the car as a weekend long distance car only (we both have other cars that we use for work commutes). I have always been paranoid of DPF problems so always ensure I cruise at about 80 for long periods to ensure plenty of re-gens. (I have VagCom so happy to show any prospective owners that there are no ecu faults etc).
Only ever has shell diesel in it – I don’t use anything else other than Shell in any of my cars.
MOT until Jan, tax until, HPI clear.

Good bits:
Full service history – most recently by me, car will come with new oil + filter as its due a service in 3000 miles so new owner will not have to worry for 10-20k miles (I use long life oil but always change it before 10k miles).
2 new tyres and 2 have plenty of life left (all Uniroyal Rainsports so very good + expensive!)
Fitted B6 scuttle panel covers when I got it to keep leaves out (I didn’t want blocked drain holes)
Bose Symphony II head unit with 6cd unit in dash, Bose speakers, sub etc – also has Dension Gateway 300 fitted so you can us with USB stick and Ipods etc.
Leather in very good condition, always been looked after, I have treated twice with beeswax to keep it supple.
Very supportive & very comfortable seats.
6 spd auto – this engine suits auto so much better than a manual as the torque is relentless (and I don’t generally like auto’s).
Its really quite ballistic and still gets 40mpg on a long journey if kept at 80mph.
S-Line so has uprated suspension (although not uncomfortable like some people say) and 18” alloys.
Cruise control.
Aircon ice cold.
Engine uses no oil – i.e. I’ve never needed to top it up.
Whole car is in very good condition, no rust, knocks, bangs etc.
Looks very good underneath – no damage / corrosion etc.
Asking price is £9k, remaining road tax at extra cost.
Would prefer px against B5 RS4 if possible.
Car located near Chester.

Bad bits:
I’m being picky to find any! But here goes….
Small fleck of paint missing from one door moulding.
A vertical scratch on rear screen (hardly noticeable).
Aluminium window trim oxidised in places.
Front fog light mouldings cracked, but not badly enough to need replacing imho.
Probably worst thing is the scratches on the wheels, they could do with a refurb.
A couple of small marks on the leather interior.

Since I’ve had it, I’ve done the following:
Remove battery and clean leaf debris from scuttle area
Remove upper tailgate trim to remove all the leaf debris
Fit Bosch wiper blade rear
Fit new rear wiper motor, grease rotary coupling for longer life, clean out washer jets.
Re-seal rear light clusters
Fit Scuttle panel covers from B6 A4
Clean out intercoolers
Air filter change
Pollen filter change
New front fogs
Remove road wheels, grease hub faces and wheel bolts, inspect suspension etc - all ok
fuel filter change
Oil filter change 504 grade oil - Valvoline synthetic 5w30
Bosch wiper blades front
Undertray Dzus fasteners all greased up
2 new rainsport 235x40x18's
Fitted Dension 300
(Will come with fresh Millers oil + filter)
