Avus Rs4 with 509hp and 554lbs/torque

Post by juice » Sun Jun 05, 2011 2:23 pm

I am so going to regret doing this and im still unsure but here goes after nearly 2 years of ownership and empty pockets I am selling my pride and joy. I have enjoyed ownership of this amazing car but I’m afraid the toys are going to have to go on the back foot for a little while. Some of you are aware that I intend to get married and hopefully look into a property so for the time being I wont require the Rs, but can guarantee that I will be back In the future as its seriously the best car I’ve owned to date, therefore this one needs to go.

The car is completely unique and just to give you an idea of the cars power I have two maps for the car – Its currently running a pretty safe map for my day to day driving (Map 1) which is 516PS! With 751NM of torque! Yes…That’s right this car does not stick around, with this map the car peaks 27psi and tails down to about 24psi! Please note I do not own a petrol station therefore do not drive around like I’ve stolen my car. This map is the one that will give the most smiles, shove you and your passenger in your seats and destroy pretty much anything on the street.
(Map 2) is 525PS! With 666NM torque – this map has reduced boost to 20-21 psi with adjusted timing and is suited for when you want to take it on the track as less strain and heat will be put on the engine as you’ll most likely be high up in the revs for longer periods of time.
Both maps are from MRC TUNING and can be selected from a discreet switch (based in Banbury, Oxford) should you want more info on this Doug is the best person to speak to.
As far as I know this is one of the quickest cars they have tuned on Ko4 turbos!

I have dyno plots for every stage that the car has gone through, however cannot express to you the power delivery on the car, its so bloody fast that when the Intake air temperatures were 4 degrees at MRC Tuning (4th December 2010 Rolling Road event) the car made 544PS!
Should you want more power you really just need to upgrade the turbos to Rs6 items and upgrade the clutch and you should see near 600PS? You probably aware that standard cars produce 380PS so this one is in another league

The interior is in A1 condition. The car has carbon Trim with Black leather seats which are treated regularly to liquid leather cleaner/conditioner. The car also has privacy glass fitted which stops unwanted attention. The roof is also vinyl wrapped in a textured carbon print which was done from Totally dynamic in Enfield (can be removed should it not suit your taste)

I have a folder of receipts adding into Thousands of pounds!! on maintenance from oils to modifications/parts and labour charges. The car has been my pride and joy and so has been maintained at any expense. You seriously do not want to skimp on these cars, when I was looking into buying an Rs4 I only wanted to buy from an enthusiast purely because they would have treated the car the same way I would treat a specialist vehicle.
The previous owner had bought it at 72K miles and passed it on to me 3 ½ years later at 114K miles and now the present mileage is 130K. Please do not think for one minute this is a bad thing, mileage purely shows how much it has been used but the car drives like its covered half that, practically every part that has need to be fixed has been replaced to the same spec or better.

The majority of the modifications and the major servicing have been carried out by MRC Tuning recognised as one of the leading specialists for these exclusive cars and Virdee Autos (London, Park Royal). Please speak with them should you want to verify.

You will be glad to know that in March 2011 the camshafts were checked at MRC Tuning and have been given the all clear to wear so about 2.5K saved there already on costs that you may think you might have to anticipate. I have pictures to prove should you want to see. For the mileage they are the best condition I have seen comparing to other members.

The cambelt has been replaced with water pump, thermostat and tensioners etc at 114,500 miles with Bosch spark plugs by MDM Teknik.
The MAF, EGT sensors, one way valves (on top of the engine), N75 valve and coolant temperature sensor, rubber intake hoses that connect to the y-pipe have all been replaced in my ownership. The car also benefits from having a New Bosch battery, Alternator, Clutch, and Steering rack fitted in the last 25K miles all from MRC. Goodyear F1 Asymmetrical tyres fitted from Elite Tyres in Essex and covered approx 5K miles so loads more life left.
The oil is changed every 3K miles and has just had one at Virdee autos using Gulf competition oil. The vehicle Geometry has also been set up to fast road use. The oil cooler pipe which usually corrodes really badly has been replaced by MRC at 118K miles and shortly after at 122K miles Bosch spark plugs and a OEM Fuel filter was replaced at MRC.
All four wheel bearings have also been replaced with oem parts by Virdee so another issue you wont have to worry about

Taxed till February 2012 and MOT till October 2011. I will also include in the sale price the private RS registration which has a comical meaning to those who get it. The Rs4 is a March 2001 car so benefits from the cheaper tax bracket, 225 for the year. Always warmed up and cooled down properly and if anything has ever needed to be replaced it has to the same spec or better. HPI clear

Bosch 044 5 bar fuel pump
Bosch 710n’s
AWE boost gauge in centre vent

H&R lowering springs (40mm)
Front H&R thick anti – roll bar
Rear H&R thick anti – roll bar with MRC strengthening brackets (prevent rear subframe from cracking)

Drive train:
Quick shifter

Upgraded Clifford Avant-garde alarm with anti hi jack (black jack), proximity sensor, motion senor, and anti lift sensor – This sits on top of the OEM alarm effectively giving the car 2 alarms. When I purchased the car I was aware of scum that we live with in society and wanted to protect my pride and joy therefore for my peace of mind had this fitted, I will only show how this works once the car is sold – Potential genuine buyers please understand why.

Only downside I can think of is the 2 stone chips on the front, nothing seriously bad.

More pictures can be emailed on request

The car is a AudiSRS car and can be vouched for by members and sponsors.
Timewasters/Test pilots/Dreamers need not apply and a test drive will ONLY be considered if you hold full insurance otherwise I’ll be doing the driving.
