For Sale RS4 Avant - soon

Post by RS4SRS » Mon Feb 07, 2011 5:43 pm

Looking at putting up my RS4 Avant for sale soonish - never really taken to it if i'm 100% truthful.

Spec as follows

2006 (56) Avant
54k miles
Full Audi Service history
Sprint blue
Silver Recaro interior (not buckets)
carbon trim
Sat nav and all the usuals
flat bottom steering wheel
Tracker
100% standard
7 to 8 mths Audi transferrable warranty and recovery
7-8 months tax and MOT
Just had TPMS and 2 x DRC replaced at Audi dealers
Bought from Audi dealership 4 to 5 months ago

Need to get the wheels refurbed before I am happy to sell it
Otherwise its immaculate

Pricewise I'd be looking for £27.5k

Havn't advertised anywhere else as its not quite ready for a few weeks yet.

Will get some pics up after I've thrown a bucket of water at it

If there is any interest on here then its available for pre viewing in or around Aberdeen

What is it that makes you not overly keen on the RS4?

the RS4 is a fantasticcar, if what you are after is a compromise betwen performance and practicality.

However after owning 2 x 911's I just miss them so much - even the RS4 doesnt stop me from missing them. They are just so much more of a drivers car than the RS4. If I had never owned a 911 before, then I'm sure I'd think that the RS4 was exactly what I always wanted and would be 100% happy right now.

Whilst the 911 obviously isn't as practical as the RS, they are much more responsive, better handling, and generally give me more smiles per mile than the RS does :D

I may not get the porker until nearer the summer as I fancy a Cab this time round but as Ive made up my mind to sell the RS, I'd be as well do it now so the new owner can benefit from the longer Warranty, less mles etc and hopefully result in a slightly better price for me...

Like I say, I'm not diss'ing the RS, nor am I really comparing it to the 911 as I dont think you should compare them (2 completely different cars for 2 different markets) but for me anyway I think I will continue to miss the 911 until I get back in one....

I understand too - right now I am only 5 months into my RS and enjoying it but if I had to choose a new (used) car now, I would want a 997 C2/C4S
