Hi everyone,
its with a heavy heart I put my S4 saloon up for sale after 5 very happy years of ownership. I used to be an active poster on RS246 (and S2forum) "back in the day", but when I moved to the Highlands, the internet connection we had was just too slow (they have a slightly warped idea of broadband up here!) .
Anyway, the advert is now up on Pistonheads here:
http://pistonheads.com/sales/2360282.htm
but here's all the details:
99/T Audi B5 S4 quattro 2.7 biturbo
88,500 miles
MOT till October 2011
Tax till end of Jan 2011
I’ve owned it for almost 5 years (since Feb 2006 and 51K miles). Started life as an Audi UK car, so is fully loaded with options, including:
Jasper Green paint
Black silk nappa leather with aluminium interior
satellite navigation
heated seats
cruise control
BOSE sound
6 CD autochanger
Xenon headlights
front fogs
auto-dimming rear-view mirror
rear sunblind
thru-load (ski bag) facility.
Totally unmodified.
FULL service history, from Audi Maindealer and/or specialist service history (Doug@ MRC in Banbury and Jim@ Star Performance in Glenrothes/Kirkcaldy).
Folder full of receipts for all services etc, dating all the way back to the Pre-delivery Inspection!
Service manual with ALL stamps. All MOTs present.
All 4 keys for the car, plus the radio codes etc.
Its had TWO cambelt changes during my ownership (one in 2006, the other in 2009).
DVs were changed for 710Ns, MAF changed, lambda probes, water pump, aux water pump, temp sensor – i.e. the stuff that normally needs doing.
Recent new battery as the original was finally giving up the ghost.
Air-con was re-gassed by Star Performance last winter.
4-wheel laser alignment done by Star Performance less than 5K miles ago.
Garaged most of its life.
As you can see in the pics, I de-badged the car when I bought it. However, I do still have the badges and am very happy to re-fit them before sale, or supply them with the car!
Issues:
4 new tyres are going to be needed soon
The car has an intermittent ABS fault – although this didn’t stop it passing the MOT. The issue is well documented on S4s, and is due to a dry solder joint. It costs about £250-300 to be fixed.
Reason for sale is that I’ve changed career and needed a more fuel economic car as a result. Pretty devastated, really – I’ve loved owning this car.
In view of the 4 new tyres, and the intermittent ABS fault, I’m looking for about £4000.
Any questions, just give me a ring on 07766812793 or PM me I guess .
No canvassers thanks.
Car is located near Inverness, which is well served by an airport.
