im sure it could ... but this was an average speed of 69mph over 141miles ... im sure if the average speed was lower it would have started with a 4
but this is real life motorway MPG at normal driving speeds
quite amazing for 340PS and 4sec 0-60

that was Sheffield to London, down the M1 at 80 on cruise control and 55on cruise through the roadworks ... no jiggery pokery ... just standard MPG

That's made even more impressive due to the fact it's on cruise control..
According to DIS I averaged 33mpg in a 61 plate S4 S-tronic from Dunstable to Nottingham exactly 100 miles up the M1.Cruise control at 80 and 50mph through the roadworks...average speed 67mph...

i've had 40mpg from a manual B8 S4 on a 50mile commute

Before I get myself in trouble I will just leave this here...
Same trip same driving style...
2 litre diesel jap family wagon averaged 70mpg with the fore mentioned trip

1.6 TDI Skoda Superb Estate (longer than the QE2) got 78MPG on same 50 commute
