plan to see if I can swap the 18's for a set of TT 19's Black Edition RS 4 wheels on Friday before ADI ... if they'll clear the brakes


Spec is very simple:

- Sepang
- Tech Pack
- S - Tronic

I have to say, apart from the 18's, I do really really like the look of it up close and personal ... and I really didnt like my old TTS


Now, only done 50 miles in it home, but .... ermmmmmmmmmmm 32MPG

wow ... 340PS and 32mpg with 50 miles on the clock !

and, i bet your all wondering ... is it really as fast as its legend precedes ...

the answer is undoubtably YES

It's 100% quicker than my RS 4 to 100mph, which dyno'd at c.390PS

I can prove this theory on Sat to ADI, as my mate will be in the banananana and I'll drag him

the sound ! faaaaaaaaaaaark

I havent even got the Sport Exhaust, but when you put sport mode on, it opens the zorst flaps, and bloody hell the sound of this 5pot is GLORIOUS !!!!

you hear the huge turbo woosh up to 3k rpm, then all of a sudden a roar of 5potness fills the cabin !

amazing, addictive !

Love the S-tronic, will sit in 7th gear in manual, 3 clicks later im in 4th, footdown and it takes off to the moon

I'm still hankering after a TTRS myself (need them to get a bit older though & therefore a bit cheaper), and sepang is my colour of choice. If only it had the 19" rotor alloys in titanium then it would look perfect IMO...

Good to know that it doesn't necessarily need the sports exhaust though...I was thinking that would have to be a must-have, but maybe not...which will widen my choice a bit in terms of what's available in the used market.

I'll have to get myself along to one of these meets sometime soon to see it in the flesh...in the meantime will look forward to more updates...

I saw one of these the other day on the M4....very briefly before it disappeared....very fast.

Whilst they are a tiny bit like the S5 alloys, I have never seen those rims on a TT before!!

the TTRS boys who think this car is the fastest thing since sliced bread, have upgraded from TTS's and the like ... and so to them, it is

but, in reality ... it was neck and neck with a V8 R8, which is slightly faster than a B7 RS 4 ...neither of which are the fastest thing since sliced bread

WIth a map and full exhaust, it would spank the stock R8 though I reckon.

Looked great in the flesh yesterday and sounded great when Nige was giving it the beans around the service station car park.

Gutted did not have time to get a ride in it (busy on track).

Eh? I take it you are enjoying yours? For the right side of £50k (just), I'd say it's good value...but that's in MHO

I've had a TTS, and my missus currently has a TT TDI Black Edition .... this TTRS is the same, bar the engine

Its what I said all the while before I got this car .... the only thing special about the TTRS is the 5pot 2.5TFSI ...

otherwise its just a TT ... the same cant be said for the RS 4, the difference between an S4 and an RS 4 is huge, let alone a A4

£45k for a boggo spec is not good VFM, I've got no BOSE, not even parking sensors

once you spec it your talking £50k
