Being fair, there are no really bad dealers!

Not fancy going to an RS specialist?

Cheers Ricky

A little harsh analogy!

No, we are Race Engine builders with Tim's main experience building motorcycle engines for British and World Superbike teams.

Up until 6 months ago, I was the UK's R8 and RS development engineer for Audi UK, who also built the Skoda Octavia land speed record car for Skoda (With an RD engine) as well as a number of 700+bhp TTRS's.

My experience has always been high level Audi's.

Thanks for helping to clear that up though.

Kind regards Ricky

How do you like yours? Pretty sure I approached said company regarding an Audi project of mines and was told they would need assistance as they didn't know the 2.7tt that well (good honesty) Just wondered how they were all of a sudden a 'specialist' ! I was part of a Facebook group and had many discussion with who I believe Ricky to be and he is indeed a clever bloke. Anything else useful you'd like to add s4won?

I don't recall any conversations about tuning a 2.7TT, but you might have spoken to Tim if you approached RD?

Sorry, I talk with so many people.

I know the cars and the engines well, but to tune a 2.7TT then we would need some time to develop a solution by spending time on our flow bench.

Horsepower is all in the heads.

If it was over 6 months ago, then Tim would have replied similar to your comments above as we were not in business together then. It was still all coming together.

But please feel free to drop me a PM if you want to chat about your engine further. I am a member of a number of FB groups, so you would just have to mention which one.

Kind regards Ricky

Car service

My engines being built in Germany and is almost complete. Full 3L stroked with Cnc heads oversized valves etc. It was over 6 months ago yes, I've not had Facebook for a while but I remember having conversations with you regarding brakes on my old supercharged b7. An argument to do with ceramics at the time you were talking about the b8 rs4. I thought all the product development for Audi was done in Germany? I don't like seeing people being duped into using 'specialists' when the garage clearly isn't hence my above comment. Then you get people like S4loss who don't have a clue chiming in with his comment.

Edit who's ttrs made 700+? Thought Johhny and jason were around 650/675ish?

Not a problem.....

That engine sounds like it will be impressive, what turbos you planning on running? Stock frame?

The car is developed into a working vehicle in Germany, then each importer is responsible for finding issues that are market specific and then developing a fix in conjunction with the factory.

We are an important market as we are the biggest RHD importer in the world, so UK gets lots of development attention from every car maker. Then it needs homologation, VOSA testing, external verification for emissions etc.

Not offended at all buddy, I always advise to use someone who knows the vehicles but also whom you trust.

Thats why I mentioned what I used to do......might be a new specialist in that my business is young but I am product savvy! ;-)

Cheers Ricky
