Trust me, we made it past that. Durrrrrr! Sorry for the wind up but the replies are exactly as expected......LOL.

Changing my car in December....the RS4 was pegged as the natural choice but as it doesn't look that different, have the WOW factor and isn't as good as the B7....maybe time for a 911/981 Cayman.

:audibash:
what exactly do you mean by had a motorway blast? did you just chase one on the motorway, or did you have a few drag races against it? The B8 RS4 was tested out on pistonheads and with LC was doing 4.2 to 60 and sub 9.5 to 100 IRRC. thats pretty quick for the size of car.

Depends what you were doing in terms of testing performance but I'm not sure you can conclude that its not that fast if you were just following it at speed on the motorway.
Thanks for patronising remarks. A4 out onto M4..... Plenty of stop starts at lights and then the drag onto the M4 as it goes into 3 lanes. So I think I'd call that a blast.

How many barnets did you chop in this little jaunt? Surely more speed means more hair on the floor?

I've got a good friend with a TTRS and we've done a few drag races and comparisons with my B8 RS4
For what it's worth, both cars using LC, my B8 was faster off the line initially and pretty equal up to around 60-70 and then his car ran out of puff and I'd start to pull a bigger lead after that. In the tighter corners, the TT was faster and more agile, but in longer sweeping corners, my B8 could strangely generate a bit more grip (although this could be the 2k I had in my tyres and the 10k he had in his) and put the power down on exit a bit better
However, he had a stage 1 chip fitted to his TT and he can smoke me in a grab race now, fecker !

IIRC (but could be wrong) the TT is a haldex based 4wd affair so is largely front wheel drive with the ability to lock the clutch and send up to 50% of the power to the rear. Whilst a nice effective all round solution it's not the same as a permanent 4wd system with rear bias and the B8's advanced options like the torque vectoring and crown centre diff.
Even if the Haldex is the more modern ones that "pre-sense" the handling before it occurs (haldex have a reputation for being reactive type systems) or you hack the controller to give 50:50 split it's still not the best setup for cornering.
Now yes other cars like the Veyron and R8 use haldex bases systems but they are setup the other way around - ie, predominately rear wheel drive with up to 50% to the front. That is a completely different handling and performance proposition.

If you doubt that you've got a penis, then yes, you're correct, you're not a man.
Well done crumbling to the jeers of all of your peers and scurrying out to buy a V8 just to 'fit in'.

Bullied much in primary school, were you?

Just seen this. I wouldn't necessarily call the jeering crowds "peers" but I get the point.

I think I've said before you are probably a nice chap but "just add keyboard" and……..

Merry Xmas :beerchug:

Everyone on this forum uses a keyboard you dolt. Given it took you 4 months, you think you'd have nailed me with a witty reply, instead you're roll out repeats *slow golf clap*.
Why don't you do something useful like compile a write up on your TTRS vs RS5 ownership, or, maybe just fcuk off forever.

another intellectual response to draw from.......

You add nothing to this forum but aggressive rubbish, but I just can't stop goading you as it's a given you'll come back with your arm flailing.....metaphorically speaking.

I daren't write anything regarding my TTRS in case someone accuses me of gay tendencies or cutting hair......boring.
