Jesus!!!! Can no one move on from comparing a "gay" coupe EVERYTHING to the bloody B7 RS4....?

The only time/place you'll see me in a yellow car is New York.

appearance

everyone has their own opinion, the RS4 is a good looking saloon car. I prefer the looks of the TT RS, I think its the better looking car, mine is on the 19 inch rotors. its quite subtle which is fine by me, causes me less hassle from other road users.
Yes nothing says subtle like a giant wing on the back :)

I think the ttrs looks great personally. Was wondering if they would mean up the fenders a little to differentiate but I guess they liked it as is in normal to guise.

The problem here is: if you take away the looks and practicality, you're left comparing a competent "point and squirt" haldex creation versus one of the best drivers cars Audi has ever made. Which car are you always going to want a last "hooray" blast in (hence the Top Gear-esc challenge)? Boil both of these cars down to their essence and the TTRS is exposed. No surprise the B7 RS4 is already being hailed a modern classic, is anyone going to bet the same is bestowed on the TTRS?

BTW - the Top Gear-esc challenge was going to be:
- Each contestant must purchase an outfit to compliment their car choice.
- Once dressed and groomed, each contestant must 'cruise' the streets of SOHO, London, on a Saturday night, with all windows/roofs down whilst playing Kylie Minoge's greatest hits at full volume.
- Advances from the surrounding public must be accepted by default.
- The first contestant to "pull" (or be pulled) is declared winner.

I don't know about you guys but even if I place dead last (oh the horror), it's still a better car. It also points out how silly it is to compare these cars and why you shouldn't be shocked if you get flamed when you try.

It's a shame Hedgy couldn't join in with this little thread...

Not the challenge I was expecting Bam.

You do have valid points though.

Not once in the RS4 cab did I notice a look of " <beep> " while driving around in it.
This is far more apparent in the TTRS though. Must be more flashy looking.

I still stand by my choice of car for the right reasons.
If you had a blast in one I'm sure you would like it.

Cheers to Sevy for the OP, it really does help future buyers.

I can’t argue with that. No, I don’t think the TTRS will ever be hailed as a modern classic – but that doesn't make it any less of a car in my view. As I've already posted, I was just expressing my views about my car and how it suits my circumstances.

I’m not at all shocked that I’ve been flamed so I’m not sure how you’ve come to that conclusion unless it wasn't aimed at me. If you read the first paragraph of my original post I stated “These are just my opinions and I’m expecting to get flamed by some”, so I'm hardly going to be shocked by a little criticism.

If I hadn’t have been flamed for posting my review on here, then I’d be shocked…

I like you. You're not the typical TTRS owning c-unit.
