On the lookout

Hello,
Looking to come back to RS ownership.
I'm interested in TTRS, have seen a really nice Daytona one on a 59 plate.
The independent is asking £33k for it, seems a bit steep. Going to sit and wait a couple of months and see what turns up.
Please can someone shine a light on the sports exhaust option please.
Is it factory ordered and how do you know if its got one.
Regards
Jason.

Yes it is factory option for the sports exhaust, it's easy to spot, it has black exhaust tips while the standard exhaust has chrome tips.

Thanks for that. I drove one with standard exhaust yesterday, in sport mode it sounded great. Bet the Port exhaust is brilliant.
Love the look of TTRS, hope my search is successful.
Cheers,
Jay.

Hi Jay,
I agree even the standard exhaust sounds great in sport mode, although by all accounts the sports exhaust does sound even better. The used TTRS's with sports exhaust are few & far between though as I found when searching for my car.
As an aside, I looked very closely at the used TTRS market every day for almost 6 months until I bought mine at the end of December, and have kept a record of the specs/prices and how long the cars hung around for. If you want any info on how the market seems to have behaved in the recent past or a view on prices, please feel free to give me a shout.
I would agree on the face of it that 33k for a 59 plate does sound a bit steep, but it does depend on the spec and the mileage in particular. Are there any must-have options that you're looking for, specific colours, etc?
Cheers...Sevy

I thought this might come up
I can't help it, there must be a little gay in me somewhere
On a serious note, a friend of mine at Audi Sheffield let me drive one while my R32 was in for a service.
I was blown away by it, totally didn't expect that power and noise.
I put the VW up for sale straight away and stated looking.
Jay.

I've had both too.

Jay - is that the one at Baytree in Derby with 18k miles on the clock? If so, there should be some margin for negotiating to be done on that car if you wanted it sooner rather than later...
I know how long that car has been on the market and have a pretty good idea of what Baytree will have paid for it...I can post details or send you a PM if you want...?
Cheers...Sevy

Hi Sevy,
Yes, it's the one at Baytree.
The car looked in fantastic condition. It's now done 19600 miles. Any info is greatly appreciated.
I'm not fussed about a cab again, I will leave that till I'm in my 50's
Thank you.
