It's awesome!

Mike, go to Audi City at Green Park and check out the B8 on their interactive wall...I nearly put an order in then and there

Doodle... Have you seen it in the flesh? The arches are genuinely much more pronounced
Prism does look awesome and would be my second choice after sepang

I think Audi city have a real car at the minute too don't they?

Prism on the B8 did look good as did Sepang, the other colours didn't work for me. Wonder what Suzuka would look like.....

But it is a heavy brute of a car and IMO not £65k special.

Hope you enjoy the RS3 DK, it's growing on me but is a bit rolly in the corners compared to the sublime DRC B7 RS4 although the grip is there (Contis as I have said elsewhere are terrible). Me feels some sway bars may be winging their way on to mine next year.

eh? What happened? I think you have ADHD...... :bigblink:

"will get some better ones at ADI

plan to see if I can swap the 18's for a set of TT 19's Black Edition RS 4 wheels on Friday before ADI ... if they'll clear the brakes

Spec is very simple:

- Sepang
- Tech Pack
- S - Tronic

I have to say, apart from the 18's, I do really really like the look of it up close and personal ... and I really didnt like my old TTS

Now, only done 50 miles in it home, but .... ermmmmmmmmmmm 32MPG

wow ... 340PS and 32mpg with 50 miles on the clock !

and, i bet your all wondering ... is it really as fast as its legend precedes ...

the answer is undoubtably YES

It's 100% quicker than my RS 4 to 100mph, which dyno'd at c.390PS

I can prove this theory on Sat to ADI, as my mate will be in the banananana and I'll drag him

the sound ! faaaaaaaaaaaark

I havent even got the Sport Exhaust, but when you put sport mode on, it opens the zorst flaps, and bloody hell the sound of this 5pot is GLORIOUS !!!!

you hear the huge turbo woosh up to 3k rpm, then all of a sudden a roar of 5potness fills the cabin !

amazing, addictive !

Love the S-tronic, will sit in 7th gear in manual, 3 clicks later im in 4th, footdown and it takes off to the moon

Launch control, there is very little in the world this side of a Porka 997 Turbo Service that, on a damp/wet day, can keep up with it on a launch to 80mph

Bad:
Looks, not special enough and basically gay
Ride, single most worst hatred of this car, it's ridiculously harsh and totally ruins the car imo
Brakes, fade too quickly
Handling, understeer everywhere and very numb
Practically, it has none

All in all, I will not miss it one bit an am glad to be getting rid of it

Tbh, I don't really regard it as a 'proper' RS car

I'm picking up a Suzuka RS 3 tomorrow....let's see if that is any better

Looks like my first post, but lost my registration details from before.

I tend to agree with some of your points, but can't with others.

Mainly agree with your Good points, but not convinced with the engine note.

On the bad points.

I never had any issues with the ride and infant felt it more composed than the TTS that seems to struggle on B Roads.

Handling isn't stunning, but not sure it's under steering everywhere. I was too gay to fade the brakes :biggrin3:

Is it worth the RS badge, then compared to the plain Jane, even more under steer and aged RS3 then yes. Yes I have driven both and on a couple of occasion mistaken the RS3 for an S-line. I also think the TTRS deserves its badge a bit more than some of its bigger brothers.

Would I buy another one, no but then I've had 4 MK2 TT's so bored with them now.

Interesting comparison.

TTRS is quicker and obviously has a lot more low down shove, whereas as you know you need to rev the 981

Handling and steering feel better in the 981, but beating an Audi isn't that surprising. Prefer the looks and interior of the 981 as well.

The 981 is in between sound wise the Spyder and TTRS, but my Spyder had PSE. Might still retrofit to the 981, but not sure it will be as good with PDK.

Never really engaged with the TTRS, still love driving the 981
