I've had a TTS, and my missus currently has a TT TDI Black Edition .... this TTRS is the same, bar the engine

Its what I said all the while before I got this car .... the only thing special about the TTRS is the 5pot 2.5TFSI ...

otherwise its just a TT ...

an RS4 would "just" be an A4 if it had a 2.0 TDI in it, right? (albeit witha bit of a body kit) Same for an M3.

An RS4 would be £65-70k in today's money.

I wondered who would give it back, there must be dozens of parts only specific to RS4.

Our local audi stealer is having an open weekend soon, I think I may go and have a blast in the TTRS they have.
Does sound as if it's worth a try.

You had the RS4 Cab DK, it just ticks so many boxes I would find it hard to change.

The RS4 has a tuned S4 engine, DRC that fails (I know I had 2 fail in 12 months ownership), bose (which is <beep>...as it is in the TTRS actually), never made the 414bhp it was supposed (mine was 369), brake disks which warped after 13k miles (weight issue I guess....the car's not mine)....what else am I missing?

The TTRS has a bespoke 5 pot that sounds the nuts, embossed seats as standard, indicators in the wing mirrors as standard AND they fold, piping around the floor mats as standard, MFFBSW, 2 very small back seats and it has a racing car-esque fuel filler cap which all thye chicks dig.

There may be a few issues with the RS4, but for a 5 year old car it still turns heads.

Will the TTRS still do that in 5 years? I'm not sure it will.

I still want a run in one though.

mine makes 390PS ... close enough not to notice

you obviously didnt use them hard enough !

My point re: the 5-Pot was referring to the fact it wasn't a derivative of an engine already in a TT or it it the 4-Pot with an extra cylinder?. re: V8 in RS4, I stand corrected if it in fact a V10 missing cylinders rather than the same engine that is in the S4.
