So what colour to order?

Post by 535dboy » Sat Mar 17, 2012 5:30 pm

Seen the new rs4 at Geneva and it is game on as far as I am concerned.

Got let in enclosure to poke around it and spoke with the rep

He said what colours would be available and sepang will be the blue which I'm happy with but he then said Suzuka grey will be available which my friend specced on his £90k Q7 with black optics and titanium wheels which I actually really like so;-
Blue
Or
Grey?

Depends how you look after it?.

Sepang if you spend your life keeping it clean, if not Suzuka. It'll not show the dirt as much.

....... infact Sepang with optic pack.

Did you feel it was that much better than a B7 535dboy? Curious to know what you thought as I did the same as you, had a poke around, spoke to the rep etc etc.

As to your colours, my choice would be special order Mugello Blue but between the two you have Suzuka with optics would probably suit it better to mimimse the lardy arse it has..

Which wheels would you go for?

I have not had/got a B7 so the B8 is my only entry in to RS ownership.

I agree that the B7 is probably a better looking car but there is nowt I can do about that!

Not sure what the 19" wheels will be at the minute (chap told me certain specs still tbc) but I like those 20" on display. They remind me a little of GT3 porker wheels

Ps our TT is in for service today and they have a Suzuka TT in showroom and therefore less convinced than I am with it on friends Q7

Do like the blues, not sure I can justify special order paint as well as the toys I want to put on

Also saw new boxster at show and the mrs has her eye on that to replace TT

It was late, I was merry on corporate hospitality from Lambo, Ferrari et al (which all except Ferrari :bash: were very attentive) and they all looked the same so I couldn't have told you that! :bigblink:

I saw a 3.0 TDI S-line B8 Avant in meteor gray, black optics and dark 19s or 20s and it looked quite aggressive. I can imagine it being a great subtle (but sinister) combination for the RS.
