Buying now - DRC question

Ok, so looking to get back in an RS4 after too long in an F31.

I’ve seen a couple that I like, but two of the dealers aren’t able to confirm whether the cars have had any work done to the DRC. Is it safe to assume now that any issues would likely to have had happened and been sorted now?

I have found one which has KW coilovers. My other question is the ride/handling compromised at all, or even improved maybe?

i have the kw's on mine and i find them great. Every so slightly noisy first thing in a morning but good. Ride quality is improved.
DRC is great but will cause an issue at some point.

I'm just over 50K on mine, a 2013. Still on DRC and running well. The main dealer replaced one shock at about 45K, around £700 iirc.

Good luck with your search.

Wouldn’t assume that issues would have shown up and been sorted out, DRC is a gift that can give at any time.
A main dealer may be able to provide any warranty work, or any paid for repair work should stick out like a sore thumb on the documentation.

Or ask for a DRC healthcheck prior to purchase? Probably need to be main dealer to do this or one of the specialists as on here.
