Rear Door Handle Unlock

My darling child decided to pull on the rear door handle just as I was unlocking the car, at the time the door remained locked but after a few lock-unlock cycles it opened again.

Hadn’t noticed any further issues although the kids haven’t been in it much since, but just picked up the car from Audi and it obviously wouldn’t open for them as they highlighted it on the health check.

Does anyone know if there is a way to reset the locking-unlocking of the door or is it buggered?

Just to update after a bit of investigation, the reason I hadn’t noticed it is because when you deadlock the car then unlock it the door will open.

If you just give it one click to lock it then unlock, the door remains locked.

Sorry, should have specified, this is the exterior handle.

It doesn’t matter how many times you pull the handle when unlocking from a ‘single-click’ lock, door won’t open.

Will open first time when unlocking after a ‘double-click’ deadlock

I think you are talking about the 'car' setting via the MMI on the B8 where you can alter the door locking from just drivers door only to all doors with one press of the key fob.
If you set it for just the drivers door with one press, two presses unlocks all the doors.
My B7 had that feature, and I'm a bit hazy about it now, but I think that had to be programmed by Vagcom / VCDS or a dealer.
