Help me choose

Post by stuartbarriskell » Sat Nov 19, 2022 5:53 pm

Hope I haven't breached forum rules, in a way this is B8 related ..kinda Image

Does anyone know anything about Saabs ?

Need to make a decision on either of these as a second car.

Both similar mileage, similar condition, both sellers seem to be spot on, not the usual Wanky salesman type, so that doesn't help as such.

Got the 4WD down to 4750, the 2WD is same money and won't budge, which is fair enough, so same money.. nightmare..

Would appreciate any input no matter how small, I have additional info on each car which I'll happily share if anyone replies...

Check out 2009 59 SAAB 9-3 SPORTWAGON 2.0T 210 XWD AERO ESTATE - HIRSCH UPGRADES WITH CERT on eBay!

Or this one..

Check out WOW!! A VERY RARE 05/55 SAAB 9-3 AERO 2.8 V6 TURBO (250 BHP) ESTATE PETROL AUTO on eBay!

Years ago I had a Vectra VXR. Despite all the rantings of that nob Clarkson at the time, it was an absolute weapon. Went like muck off a shovel, and handled pretty well too. Anyway, the point of this is that IIRC its the same V6 engine used in that Saab. And what a peach it is too. Timing chains can slip, and obv coil packs.

The V6 gets my vote. Thirsty bugger mind. Sound familiar?!
