Need to get mine into an Audi dealer before the end of the year for a service/inspection - and mainly so that I can get the app sorted, navigation updated and get a final check before I cancel the extended warranty (which I'm paying through the nose for). Might also be due the diff oils.
Heard some bad things about Glasgow Audi but it's about 3 miles (as the crow flies) from me and a pal's mrs who used to work there said that the mechanics were good. Anyone have any good/bad experiences with them? Don't mind travelling a bit for a better service i.e. Ayr, Stirling etc. Any thoughts/guidance would be appreciated!

Why not try A for Audi in Clydebank.. Worth a call see if they can do what your looking for, Excellent reputation.
I think Glasgow has just gone downhill since they moved from Kyle Street, I used to know most of the sales guys and the techs in there, now I don't know anyone, it's just a big factory of punters cars..

Re: Audi main dealer - west of Scotland?
I thought Ayr were a nightmare, they took 4 days to fit a set of tyres, replace the self levelling switch assembly at the back axle and run through another MOT just as I was buying it from a forum member, probably helps if you know someone and they know the car.
Glasgow was brilliant at one time, even after they moved to the new site, but that soon fell apart as people moved on in the service and sale side.. think it's hit and miss when you drop the car off in these places.
It just goes to show the inconsistency in some of the outlets.

Cheers for the replies guys! Ended up cancelling glasgow audi and taking your advice Stuart and going to A for audi - apart from the difficulties in getting to speak to them after I missed their call, they did a great job...and £289 for a inspection/service and pollen filter was quite reasonable

Good man, even though the place is really busy, they also don't have a big fancy desk or classy waiting area, it's way more user-friendly than the big dealer outlets.
Once you've been in, they'll get to know you and they have no problem with you walking into the workshops and chatting to the guys if you've any questions, for me that's right where I want to be when my cars going in, that's the difference, one on one service. That wouldn't happen at a main dealers.
Veronica is totally sound, it''s usually her that answers the phone and deals with you at the front desk. She had printed off my cars full service history for me when I picked up my car, considering I never asked for it.
Glad you had a good experience
