Hello,
I was driving my RS4 home last week and got a simultaneous splutter and flashing engine warning light. I pulled in straight away and called a tow truck to come and take my car to an Audi specialist.
Two days ago I received a quotation for the removal of the intake manifold for testing and replacement of the fuel injectors with cylinder three showing the misfire. They suspect the injector on cylinder 3 is leaking and have said that if one injector is gone then they should replace all 8 injectors. Total cost including labor £3250.
They have also recommended Terra-Clean Fuel System & Carbon Cleaning Procedure. Total cost £350
They have also recommended XADO AtomEx Total Engine Flush. Total cost £50
To top all this off, my major service is 1000kms aways. Total cost (not including any services surprises £1100.
Along with my request for an A/C service and a new hood strut, I am in the hole for £5333.
I replaced the front upper/lower/left/right control arms, shock mounts, and a DRC recharge in January which gave me a bill of £2700.
This brings the 5-month RS4 bill to over £8000. I knew it would be a relatively expensive experience but I am really questioning if I would be bothered with this <beep>.
