Evening all
Have got a kill switch to fit onto starter motor via fuse, question is where is it located, and what amp fuse is it.
Kit supplied only has a 5amp fuse but think it to small
Cheers
Have looked in owners manual, says 40amp
Starter motor fuse
Re: Starter motor fuse
A starter motor wouldn't normally have a fuse and 5A would be hilarious, as would 40! They can draw literally hundreds of amps, look at the CCA rating on a battery for a clue.
Hopefully you're looking to link into the starter relay circuit...…..
The starter relay is typically rated at 30 or 40 amps to cover peaks, though typically about 10A is needed to "hold" the starter solenoid.

Re: Starter motor fuse
Afternoon all
Have tried to connect a cut off type switch so car won’t start, fitted all works well, however once started car it comes up with tpms and sports diff warning lights.
Why have these come on? And I thought only the starter motor relay was the only thing on this 40amp fuse!!
Any ideas?
Thanks all

Evening
Thanks Rusty Racer, put new battery on couple of months ago, but didn’t code it to car, as was told should need to as it’s not an agm battery?
May need to code it?
Thanks
