Front brake disc options

Post by Duelsy » Wed Mar 31, 2021 12:02 pm

Hi all.

My front discs (Audi wavy ones) are right at the end of their life, the wear indicators are almost completely gone. Just wondering what options there are for replacements. Have any of you used different brands etc? If so could you possibly link me to them. I did a bit of googling and barely found anything.

If the wavy Audi ones are the only decent recommendation then happy to go for them, just thought I'd ask other owners.

I was looking at these from Zimmerman:

Cheers

Someone did lots of research into this not long ago. Think it is in the FAQ sticky.

Sorry, I should have said - I've sent hat thread, it's very helpful for suggestions. However there's no real feedback about the various brands, just one really. So I was hoping to get insight from people who've actually used them.

I have Audi OEMs in my RS4 but my brother has used Reyland discs and EBC pads a few times in his RS3 and has been very happy with them- and his car stops better than mine.

I’m going to give these Zimmermans ago over the next few months. Feel like a good price

I’ve moved the purchase back, went for new alloys & tyres in their place

Nice man, aftermarket? I'm having my alloys refurbed on Monday. Still undecided whether to have them diamond cut or just done in anthracite.

Nah, had aftermarket ones on there, gone back to gloss black V Spokes. Looks amazing, will be selling my aftermarkets in due course, they’ll need a refurb.. but will be a bargain to some, considering they would of cost 6k new

Nice. Mine are being reworked as we speak, I'm going with anthracite. :)

Anthracite V-spokes with Reyland front discs upgrade. Not the best photo.
