Anyone know the spec / brand / gap recommended for the car? Just thinking of changing these myself .... because its not that difficult and prices vary wildly!

Just had a look on the NGK website and could not find a B8 RS4 but did find a RS5 4.2 listed.
This then gave 3 options of plugs...
I believe they supply the Audi branded OEM part but sorry don’t have a part number for you

Spark plugs for the B8 RS4 - A06H 905 601 A
That's what was fitted in mine by Audi when the changed them, although I don't know what make they are.
Isn't the gap on spark plugs preset these days? Gone are the days of checking the gap with a feeler gauge.
The gap can only be checked anyway on a single electrode spark plug, more difficult if they are twin, and definately not on quad tipped.

Thanks very much. Looks like it's an NGK plug that goes into loads of VAG stuff and I'll bet I can get them for less than the £136 plus labour and VAT (call it a nice round £330), that I was quoted this am!

06H 905 601A - The same as johnnydog quoted but without the "A" for Audi in front. They are a VAG part used in loads of high performance machinery. Note the generic VW packaging below. On the NGK website, they are labelled "R" and are a "Laser, Platinum" spark plug.
