Memory module for Seats / Mirrors - Retrofit?

Hi guys - has anyone ever retrofitted the memory module? I'm imagining it probably means finding a module and the wiring harness to go into the drivers door, but has anyone ever done it? I'm imagining it's not easy without the services of an auto electrician, but I'm curious as to whether it's even possible?
