Just as an aside - WBAC have just increased their "offer" by another £500! We're now over £30K - Woo Hoo!!

Let's hope that also spreads to my old one!

Bought the Silver one, had it inspected and the Mechanic said I would be mad if I didn't buy it.

Only thing he found was a very slight leak near the throttle body and recommended the rear tyres be replaced as they are original.

Got £1,500 off so well pleased.

Will post up once I get my hands on it this week.

Just one word of warning find a good body Shop to paint the bumper. I guess it is Prism silver and the paint is very expensive and a bugger to match. My rear bumper was painted 5 times until they got it nearly right. It's not 100% perfect but pretty good. The diffuser was painted also, the first time they did it gloss black not satin. It was comical really.
They had to get the paint rep in to tint the paint to match. That was the 2nd body Shop, as the 1st didn't have a clue!

I think it's a bit of both. I know they track market values up and down, plus their own sales out. But then there is the "human" element that inspects your car, who is incentivised to get it as cheap as they possibly can when it is "inspected" ....

OK so picked it up last night and some unexpected good news is the dash is set to KM so 17k KM = 11k miles!!!

Jeez - that must be the lowest mileage RS4 in the country! No wonder it's in good nick, but I wonder why it was set to km? It's speedo hasn't been "doctored" has it?

I did. VOSA had the KM listed on the MOT records with Miles in brackets.
Hoping I can get Audi to move it back to miles and update the service record. All a bit weird in KM.

Fabulous. I've used an entire tank of fuel running around Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire this week and I can't get over how nice the car is to waft around in. Before turning all feral and imperceptibly dropping from 7th to 2nd to overtake slow moving traffic with a deep growl, like Brian Blessed gargling a pint of milk.

Only just bought mine and the WBAC is up again!

She’ll be as good as new in a week, two new front shocks and drc re-fresh on the cards. Bit of a wallowing barge at the moment (more so than usual)

Funny that... almost! Yes they started on the ‘if a panel has more than 5 stone chips then it needs a smart repair’ well there took care of the bonnet and front bumper plus a scratch on the rear bumper and lacquer peeling on the wheels etc bla bla. I did manage to strike a deal with the guy and got the transfer in 15 mins. Overall I got what autotrader said so I’m happy

Years ago I was looking to part exchange my 3 year old "mint" and ultra low mileage, dark metallic blue BMW 330i M Sport - Auto (with Black Leather and the hi-fi upgrade, still under BMW approved warranty), for a beautiful 987 Boxster S. Online, WBAC offered £500 more than the sportscar dealership I was looking to buy from, so I made an appointment and took the afternoon off work to confirm the valuation and sale.
As soon as I walked into the shitty portacabin in High Wycombe, I knew I had made a mistake. What greeted me was the classic sheepskin coated ex-car salesman and without even looking at the car, he immediately sucked on his teeth and went straight into "yeah mate, these aren't selling too well at the minute. Dealers don't want 'em. Best we can do is £2,000 less than the online offer" .... Furious, I stormed out, went straight back to the dealer supplying the Porsche and nearly tore their hands off for the part-ex. Stuck the Porsche on my debit card and drove it away that afternoon! Needless to say - I have trashed WBAC's reputation at every opportunity for the last 11 years!
