The more I drive the RS4 having had it for a week, the more i'm really appreciating the DRC (coupled with MPS4S of course).

I've noticed on a previous service statement however a 'light oil misting' on front O/S shock. I sense a disturbance in the DRC force...
That sounds like my second DRC issue I had & after looking at all the recipes for DRC repairs in the service history it was time to call it a day

But surely once you fix it it's sorted? Or is this just a gremlin that constantly keeps coming back?

For the last 2 years Bedford Audi has serviced and MOT'd my car and on both sets of service records they've mentioned "light misting" but nothing to worry about and given they're a main dealer I would have expected them to recommend some work to be undertaken. In fact I'm looking to sell mine and had a discussion with Alex at Fontain Motors at the end of last week and he said that "light misting" is normal.

As above. It was noticed and mentioned on my last service, when I queried it I was told that the misting is often present on new cars. IIRC the service manager was disappointed that it had been mentioned on the report, he'd told the technicians that it's a normal thing and not worth mentioning.

Crazy really as my last & final problem was front driver side shock which was just misting but it was enough for the DRC to fail

My last MOT noted light misting on one of the front shocks. That was at a local MOT centre as Audi Slough had to cancel my booking due to lockdown. I asked the tester and he also said nothing to worry about and apparently very common on VW and Audi cars. Coincidentally my next MOT is booked in for next Friday so will see if it has changed.
