Slough or Amersham Audi?

Post by hindsight » Thu Jan 30, 2020 8:42 pm

Hi all
My car will need an MOT and oil change service soon. I bought the car as an audi approved used car so it might also be an opportunity to identify and get any faulty items fixed too before the warranty expires.

Does anyone have any experience of either Slough or Amersham dealership for servicing and their familiarity with RS4 issues like shocks and DRC?

I bought the car from Nottingham which is part of the same Sytner group as Slough, not sure whether it would be an advantage to keep it in the same group or not.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Also thinking ahead any recommendations for independent rs4 specialist garages in the bucks/berks/herts area?

Thanks

Amersham is part of the Jardine group. I used to use them but now go independent as my car is quite a bit older than yours and they basically don't have a clue about stuff that's not current.

Personally, provided it's convenient, I'd try to keep within the same Group while under warranty, even though in theory it's irrelevant.

What area/town are you in, my friends and I use various Audi independents in that region? As do others on here.

Thanks for the reply, I'm in Chalfont St Peter. Any independent places you can recommend would be much appreciated.

Two miles from me!
I've used Volkstec in St Giles for everyday stuff as they used to (maybe still do?) have an ex-Audi technician. Also Fontain in Iver who are more of a specific Audi specialist.
Mate of mine uses VAGtune in Aylesbury regularly and reckons they're good.

I’m not far in Amersham and would second Fontain being only a short drive away in Iver - they’ve looked after me and I purchased through them. Definitely Audi specific and a focus on the RS/Performance models. I believe they help Sponsor this site too.

Good luck!

Try VRT Slough 01753 655271 https://vrtonline.co.uk/

Give Audi Slough a miss, Mark in service is very unhelpful and they had that bullying issues.

Hello :bigwave:

Am of course happy to assist a forum member if I can :)

We have DRC tooling on site and are well familiar with the cars.
