How do you know if you've got Audi connect?

Got wlan which I think is part of it but can find no other settings

If you add a sim what does it allow you to do?

Real time traffic plus petrol prices. Availability of parking spaces. Used to be able to send Google maps addresses to the sat nav but it doesn't work any longer

Nope. Search on Coban in RS246

Not sure about the RS4 but in the RS6 it allowed me to do a Google search from within the car for a sat nav destination. This meant you'd be directed to the exact building rather than just a postcode if using the conventional sat nav. It also meant you had a satellite image from Google maps rather than the normal map.
And when did the sending sat nav destinations remotely stop working? I'm aware the feature was removed from Google maps but I could still do it on my phone using the Audi app from within Google maps.

Audi has changed the mobile apps. Was possible to send a Google maps destination to the car and then navigate to it. Best I’ve managed to do is still send the location to the car but setting it as the destination latterly failed.

Maybe other will have more success but I did spend quite a while trying to get it working

Agreed, can get a Google satellite overlay on the maps but I didn’t find it that useful

You would also add wi-fi in the car if that was important.
Agreed, I haven’t been able to send post code from phone but believe you can from a pc once logged into Audi app.
