Car sold. Well that was quick!

Been looking for a Macan for a while to replace the RS4. Found a highly spec'd one at Baytree Cars and a deal struck over the phone. They offered very strong money for my '15 plate RS4 (28k miles, Pan roof, Sports Pack, Adaptive Cruise, Keyless Entry etc). Within 48 hours they've taken a deposit on my old car.

Advert here for those interested:

I did consider a B9 RS4 but, probably due to lack of supply they are very expensive used - cheapest nearly £60k. Could that be having a knock-on effect on the B8?

I'm also disgusted with Audi that all the 'S' cars are now diesel. Sincerely hope the RS4 when it returns isn't a diesel, but wouldn't trust them to muck it up too :audibash:

I have a set of genuine and immaculate Audi 19inch winter wheels and alloys that I'll be advertising imminently if anybody is interested (one refurbed set on fleabay for £1100 and the remainder £1700 to £2k)

Your old car looks very clean indeed. I'm almost sad that my days with the B8 platform are gone (RS4, S4, RS5 Cab, S5, A5) rattly trim (all of them), but otherwise rock solid and I just love the 4.2 NA V8 in the RS.

It's a very strange market. Clearly there are very, very few buyers around but I think there is also a lack of good stock out there for dealers. I was offered comedy valuations on my RS5 Cab until Sytner (of all people) paid me 2k over anybody else, without having a buyer lined up.

Love the Macan too, very nearly went for a GTS after looking at a Turbo PP. Great cars.

Can I ask what was ‘strong’ money. Mine is very similar but black. Trying to figure out whether it’s worth moving mine on or keeping it
