Wheel question

Post by G30001 » Mon Feb 04, 2019 8:44 am

Are these a standard Audi finish I could source from Audi?

I have seen a few advertised with these wheels recently and all seemed to have Audi Exclusive Interiors!

I believe they were fitted to the limited editions only. As you say as part of that was the exclusive interior.
If I had to guess £800 each from Audi?

Cheers, spotted someone else posting a pic with these wheels on the winter wheel thread just after I posted this.

Will give Audi a call today, just wanted to make sure before I made a tit of myself on the phone.

They are listed at over £1000 each in 2014..... from TPS

The rotors have multiple part numbers cast on the back, which designate the different finishes.

One thing to note, the limited edition ones have a 4th part number specific to them which the normal rotors dont.

But you could get regular rotors refurbed to the same style and they'd be the same, bar the part number.

Don't even get me started on this - if you ding one wheel and go to Audi for a new one, "that will be £1000 Sir"

Yet when Audi feel like it, they will push winter wheel and tyre sales, and will sell you a package of four wheels and four tyres for £2000.....

I only know thew price because a UPS driver dropped my wheels in boxes over my fence, and it was caught on video, so a quick call to TPS for a quote and i had a grand in my account that day. Damage was paint only and tiny, so i never bought one.

I paid less than 40% of the TPS price per wheel each, new from Eastern Europe........

Actually that is why I asked the question as there is a little indent around the rim where the silver line is, I nearly bought a std rotor but then noticed the difference.

Will give Audi as call in a bit see what the damage is, I shouldn't be paying for it so don't car just want straight wheels

Or under £900 in my case for new RS4 winter wheels and tyres because the dealer had had them in stock for quite a while........

Which comes about during the manufacturing process, diamond cutting the rim after paint and before lacquer.

A std rotor won’t be the same as a larger area of face is cut. A re machined refurbed std rotor would.

Audi £1,100 a wheel

Ebay Germany an (apparently) new and unused £390 incl delivery, has 30 day returns so worth a punt!
