Whilst adjusting my mirror yesterday the sealant between the unit and the glass has broken.
Took the whole assembly off, including the rain sensor.

Has anyone else encountered this issue?
Take it i'll need a new clear pad for the sensor and some kind of bonding agent to put it back on the windscreen.

Has the metal attachment come unbonded from the windscreen? Also, is it a genuine screen or 3rd party one, Audi has the 4 rings logo stamped on it.

The mirror assembly rotates anticlockwise to come off and clockwise to re-fit onto that metal attachment. If you have the camera for Adaptive Cruise and Lane Departure, then it will require dealership alignment.

Yeah came away from windscreen. In the process of trying to refix it, the window shattered.
I now have a new screen and all is well.
