Pandora Alarm

Post by Olithur » Tue Dec 11, 2018 1:46 am

Hi All,

Anyone used one of these? Mini BT I was looking at, although friend suggested the Ghost.

I like the idea of better alarm plus tracker?

Thanks in advance for your feedback

I’ve got one, its a very good alarm. I did have issues with the original installation as the fitter in my opinion was poor and not upto high end installs. The company owner came up 8 weeks later to sort out tne niggles and im very happy with it. 100% recommend the alarm and would also travel to them for fitting rather than the mobile option.

Autowatch ghost is a basic immobiliser which uses canbus rather than a fob. Its old tech now and Pandora, iBlue do much better systems

I'd give Ghost a swerve personally, see here:

Sepang Blue B8 RS4, MY14, All option packs, B&O, Adv Key, Adapt Cruise, Pan Roof, Akrapovic Titanium Exhaust, + more.
Previous - Sprint Blue B7 RS4 Avant, Ceramics, Sunroof, SS+, Buckets, FBSW, Bluetooth, 2010+ RNSe
Previous - Phantom Black B7 RS4 Avant, Black Optics, Titan pack, SS+, Buckets, FBSW

You can also bump start manual cars fitted with ghost as its just an starter motor cut, thats how ford focus RS’s were being stolen with ghost fitted. Its old tech, iBlue is £130 and cuts 2 circuits and send a push notification to your phone to input a code or can set it to auto disable when Bluetooth on your phone detects the car. Much new tech for a 3rd the cost

I’ve got a Pandora on mine, was going for iBlue originally but wanted more than just an immobiliser. Securemycar fitted it.

Just caught the tail end of a BBC report about the Pandora product. Company called Pen Test found it very easy to hack; suggestion is car is less secure with it fitted than without.

Worth further investigation I think

Managed to find the article online. The vulnerabilities in Pandora and Clifford alarms both fixed - so all it does is highlight possible vulnerabilities. Interesting though
