Recaro wingback weird one

Post by hunter » Sun Dec 02, 2018 10:19 pm

Hi guys I haven’t been on here in a long time so please go easy .

I have been looking more and more at B8 RS4 and I think I have found a nice one down in Ayr but I am up in aberdeen. So here comes the weird bit .................. for the guys that have the factory fitted wingbacks do they have the function to alter the angle of the seat base by tipping it up more at the front . I know with these seats you can alter the height but the tilt is a unknown area .
My issue it that I get severe pins and needles in my left leg even after 10 mins of driving the wife’s car as you can’t alter the seat angle or extend the leg support like you can on most Audi seats ( our S4 and SQ5 seats did this and felt perfect) , had a look but there is no cars local that I could see for sale to try the fit of the seats so any info guys would be most appreciated.

Thanks

Not sat in the B8 ones but I assume they have the same adjustment as the B7 and other Audis that I've been in which means no I'm afriad. Up and down, back and forth is about all the base will do.

Never seen a car with anything other than the standard seats. Maybe this will help

The RS4 Sport Seats will have the adjustment you need (I've had S5 seats before in my A3, they're the same). The Recaros have the tilt built into height adjustment, it's not as flexible. My B8 RS has the Recaros, the way the seats hold you is incredible though but might not be what you need.

Fucken Wingbacks again, seriously, where has this term come from?! It sounds like something overheard by a chav millennial telling a Dutch Dubber, that the stolen seats in his mk4 Golf with broken suspension look "on-fleak". It is fucken autistic, stop saying it.
No matter where you go, there you are.

They have a lever on the side that raise the height and push the seat towards the steering wheel at the same time. So the seats moves in a diagonal direction if that makes any sense.

I'm pretty sure they don't have the tilt but i'll check tonight and confirm tomorrow for you
