Changed title, as not getting to much takers on resolving my problem, anyone get an idea what resistors amp to use or is there a plug a play option still available (old post mention options from Germany) can’t seem to find any recent links.. final note, any Anglian based Vag Com members who’d be willing to code out for beer tokens

Quick if you know what amp is required Image
Thanks for sharing, did use them?

Do I just need these for each plug?

I have not used them. But if you look through the sellers details it sure looks like this is a business that deals specifically with this product. Why don’t you email/contact the seller and speak to them directly about your needs.

Ps. It is the resistance value (ohms) you need to know not Amps.

Great lot of help

New message from:
Hi sorry I can't confirm what you need also I can't confirm that they will work or put your airbag light out.

No instructions are provided as in description.

You'll have to do your homework.

Ok. Try this get a multimeter set it to read OHMS. Take your old resistor and measure the value. It obviously worked in the past albeit it being fitted really badly. If it reads 2.2 ohm then that eBay sellers resistor will work fine.

The fault code will always need to be cleared first, it (airbag light) won't go out despite all of your efforts.

I haven't the time to devote to helping at the moment, but good on Eddie for stepping in

Noted, will try clearing..

Is it only Vag Com to do so, is there no hand held device that does the trick

Yes some cheap hand held can clear airbag fault codes . Do a search on ebay . As for your cut wires I would solder the plugs onto the original loom and heat shrink the joints . Then buy another two plugs / repair wires from Audi and source the 4.7 ohm resistor as mentioned . Join wires and resistor as you found but properly soldered and heat shrunk . That would be similar to how Recaro use to sell them for people wanting to fit pole position's in cars equipped with seat airbags .

Had codes cleared, lights out now looks like it’s sorted.. after what must of been a poor connect with both or one of the resistors

How did you resolve the dodgy put together resistors?

Sorry to dig up an old thread but wondered if anyone can help.

I fitted genuine RS4 wingbacks in my B8.5 RS4, has 4 codes. Cleared the 2 for the side airbags by fitting resistors but still have 2 for seat position sensors

I believe it’s possible to code the airbag module for these seats but I’m struggling to find any information. Someone has provided me a code of 0430622 but for the life of me I can’t work out where this would be entered into the airbag module using VCDS
