Odd error

Hello all, been lurking for a while here, wondering if anyone has any ideas on the following.
Twice now EPC error has come up, limit 6k rpm.
Car drives as normal, clears after shutdown and restart.
Put code reader on today and no codes ...
Anyone had the same? Very odd!

And again today, no codes on reader.
Might have to visit the dealers I think.
It’s always when the cars cold.

Standard OBD 2 reader, take it I need something more VAG specific?

Exactly, it's the only non-dealer solution to have for fault finding. Not cheap or that user friendly, but I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

What kind of money are we talking? I could just take it to dealers, Ive got extended warranty.

£225 - 3 Vin version.
£299 - 10 Vin version
£450 - Unlimited Vin version
If you have warranty, then just get it checked out

VCDS is useful if you like tinkering as well.
Like extending the time period before the 3rd bar of your heated seat setting drops to 2!
