Water pump, Collant thermostat housing and seals

Hi all, I hope someone can assist.
I have a 2014 (64-plate) RS4 B8. It has covered only 20k miles and hasn't been driven too hard! I noticed the error message "Max. engine speed: 6000 rpm" kept appearing on my dash even if I wasn't accelerating hard. I took it to my local Audi dealer who said I need a new Water/Coolant Pump, Coolant Thermostat Housing and Seals - to the tune of £850.
So, has anyone come across this before, is it a known issue and should it happen after 3 years exactly on such a premium car?
Thanks
