Sport exhaust tip removal

Hi Guys,

The black sport exhaust tips on my car are looking a bit worse for wear, I'm wanting to take them off and give them a bit of a refurb or get them powder coated.

Does anybody know how these come off?

Hi yes they are a bit of a sod,
The last two RS4 B8 I have owned have been pitted bad and I have had 2 sets replaced under warranty over the years.
More on good will than warranty.
The current ones I clean wipe after most outings,do not use the car a lot so it doesn't cause to much hassle, I think the majority of the chips on the paint are caused from chipping off the road flicking up and flying through, sounds silly but true.

Removal.
Take the rear bumper off, pretty much a must, then the black tail tips are mounted directly in to the rear of the bumper, they don't actually connect to the exhaust system !.
I have a spare set here which I keep meaning to refurb ready, please let me know how you get on and what you use.
